What Trading Compass collects

Trading Compass collects product-usage analytics: a random first-party identifier stored in your browser (it contains no personal information and is not derived from your device, IP address, or browser characteristics), a session identifier, the pages and product features you use, the referring site, and campaign parameters (UTM) from the link you arrived on. We do not use fingerprinting, advertising pixels, session replay, or keystroke recording. We do not store raw IP addresses in analytics events.

Google Analytics

We also use Google Analytics 4 for standard website measurement (traffic sources, pages, devices, geography at Google's aggregation level). We configure it without advertising features: ad storage, ad personalization, and ad user-data signals are denied. We do not send Google your email, name, account identifiers, our internal anonymous identifier, portfolio contents, or financial data โ€” only page views and a small set of product interaction events (for example, opening a stock page).

Accounts

If you create an account, authentication is handled by our infrastructure provider (Supabase). Analytics events created while you are signed in are associated with your account ID so that product journeys remain coherent; they are never sold or shared for advertising. Portfolio and watchlist contents are private to your account and are not included in analytics events beyond the fact that a feature was used.

Your choices

Clearing your browser storage removes the local identifiers. If you have questions about the data we hold or want analytics data associated with your account removed, contact us.
